Organic Ashwagandha
One of nature's most trusted adaptogens, rooted in ancient Ayurvedic tradition. Known to support stress relief, deeper sleep, sustained energy and mental clarity. Bitter and earthy, so it's best mixed into a warm drink or a smoothie. Not recommended during pregnancy.
Benefits
An adaptogen is a plant that helps the body cope with stress rather than acting on one thing in particular. Ashwagandha's active compounds are withanolides, concentrated in the root. It's known to support stress relief, deeper sleep, sustained energy and mental clarity, and it's high in fibre. The one thing worth knowing up front is that it works slowly.
Ingredients
Pure Organic Ashwagandha Root Powder (Withania somnifera). Root only, no leaf. Sourced from certified organic supplier before it reached us. Produced in a facility that may contain gluten, soya, nuts and seeds. Seasonal variation in taste, texture and colour may occur.
Refunds
If something arrives damaged or wrong, get in touch within 7 days of buying or receiving it and we'll help sort it out. Items need to be unused and in their original packaging. We look at each request on its own, for both faulty and non-faulty products, and the outcome is at our discretion.
Feel the difference of a truly healthy morning.
Ashwagandha works over weeks. The studies on stress and sleep run six to eight of them before effects show.
It takes weeks, not minutes
Nothing happens on day one. In studies, the clearest effects on stress and sleep turn up around the six to eight week mark. Taking more doesn't speed it up. Taking it every day does.
Withanolides, from the root
These are the compounds ashwagandha is known for, and they sit in the root. Ours is root only, with no leaf, which is where the Ayurvedic tradition and most of the research both sit.
Dried and milled, not extracted
Most ashwagandha sold is an extract, concentrated in a lab. Ours is the root itself, ground the way it's been taken for centuries. One ingredient, nothing standardised, nothing added.

Put it in something with a flavour.
Ashwagandha is genuinely bitter. Everyone who takes it neat once doesn't do it twice.
- Mix half a tablespoon to a tablespoon daily into your favourite smoothie or fruit juice. It can also be mixed into hot drinks.
- Honey, cocoa and cinnamon all cover the bitterness well. Warm milk before bed is the easiest way in.
- For sleep, take it in the evening. For stress, take it with breakfast. Either way, take it daily. Consistency does more here than dose.

Common questions
How much should I use?
Half a tablespoon to a tablespoon daily, mixed into something. Taking more won't make it work faster.
How long before I notice anything?
Weeks. In studies the clearest effects show up around six to eight weeks of daily use. Some people notice something sooner, many don't. It's a slow one, and consistency matters more than dose.
What does it taste like?
Bitter and earthy. This is the one product in the range we'd tell you not to take in plain water. Warm milk with honey, or a smoothie with cocoa or banana, and you won't notice it.
Can I take it while pregnant?
No. Ashwagandha is not recommended for use during pregnancy, and this is printed on the pack. The same caution applies while breastfeeding.
Is there anyone else who should check first?
Yes. If you have a thyroid condition or liver problems, or you take sedatives or regular medication, speak to your doctor before starting.
